Many successful businesses have been started in tough economic times. I believe that there is an even better chance of success with an online business because there are so many ways to advertise and attract prospects without having to pay money. Also, I think people have more time right now to focus on a new business. There aren’t many people working over time right now, and many are out of work completely. Economies cycle all the time. We know that things will be better and those who take the opportunity to get a business established now will reap the benefits even more as finances across the country get better.

You gave some really great ideas! Just because everyone is saying that times are tough doesn’t mean that it’s true for every market. If a person is diverse in his marketing, chances are that he probably won’t even feel a so called recession.
You made a good point … Online marketing isn’t something that you don’t have to work at – it’s still work, and many people are tricked into believing that it’s a guaranteed get rich quick avenue.

Mike, you are absolutely correct, this is the time to start an online business. There are some tremendous opportunities available especially in network marketing and affiliate marketing. These two options can also be combined easily using a blogging platform like yours. No one should ever think it is easy, but the opportunities are unlimited to those who will take focused action.
